“EBENEZER” means ‘stone of help’. This name actually comes from the bible, in 1 Samuel chapter 7. According to the scripture the Israel people were invaded by their enemies (Philistines). Prophet Samuel led the nation of Israel to repent of their sins, destroy their idols, and begins to seek the lord . Israelites went out to battle against the invaders, and God sent them super natural help (thunder). To commemorate the divine victory, Samuel took the stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer saying, ‘thus for the Lord helped us’ (verse 12).
It was a tangible remainder of the Lord’s power and protection for His people. Thus the people who are cared in this nursing and rehabilitation center would be under the power and protection of the Almighty God.
Life of the people, now-a-days has become so hectic, that taking care of the parents who are aged has become a stressful one. Every son or daughter would not want to leave their parents uncared, especially when they are sick or bedridden. But it so happens that they to go for work to provide for the care, than to spend time in caring them. ‘Ebenezer’ helps in providing support to such kind of people who will leave their parents in the center for a periodical help.
